Custom media folders
Hello there, I'm new here, just starting playing with D20Pro and.. well, it seems curious that I have to copy my 2Gb media library into my program files directory to be able to use them in D20Pro - or I have to decide exactly which ones I want to use beforehand - but either way, I don't want a load of media on my system drive :^)
Surely there's some way to specify other folders to be listed in the image chooser...
Thanks for any advice/info
Chris

Chat History/Campaign save
Chat history is saved indefinitely, yes. Separate campaigns (in terms of the chat history) are not currently possible, but are being planned for our next software title.
However! An easy work-around for this is to have 2 separate installs of d20pro (two distinct d20pro folders) and run one for one campaign and another for your second campaign. As long as you do not have both running at the same time, you should be fine - even using the same license. Running two simultaneously will require that you have 2 computers (that's a Java limitation).

Notes
"I'm not answering your question, just wondering something, as I see Klooge mentioned elsewhere. maybe by you, not sure since it's all anonymous. What is wrong with Klooge that has you looking elsewhere? I've never used it and am just wondering." My group used Klooge for quite some time (about a year), pretty much because it had Mac support. However we found that Klooge was unstable for our DM & players, especially with the size maps/ monsters we work with (my DM makes maps with Pro Fantasy Campaign Cartographer). Also, it appears that Klooge is very slow to release updates while the d20Pro guys are much more engaged. After having used d20Pro for about a year and 1/2 now, my group feels overall d20Pro is a much better program overall.
They also have big events at Dragon*Con in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend... worth checking out if you can make it.

Reach
Actually, d20pro doesn't stop you at all and doesn't enforce any rules for that matter. That's intentional, actually. d20pro is meant to be a tabletop aid - not a game in itself. There is a balance between adding automated processes and taking away player freedom. For example, what if your troll had a feat that allowed it to extend it's reach for Attacks of Opportunity? What if it was currently stunned? What if the DM ruled that it didn't notice the player? We wanted the system to allow anything because house rules, circumstances, and other factors like custom feats and magic could bend or break those rules any time. It is up to you and the DM to maintain rules integrity and adjudicate things like movement, reach, AoO, etc. The DM can simply move you back, type or say "STOP" and evoke the rule - just like at the table. Otherwise, we would be coding endless scenarios and never fully cover everything that can happen at the table. We hope that this free-form style of play is better for your game in the long run.

Initiative
Only the DM can advance Initiative for units you do not control. Units you control can click DONE to end their turn. D20pro is not designed to be an automated tool. Indeed, current licensing for the d20 system forbids any software from determining "success" rolls. A human must confirm success on attacks and such. So even if a player could advance initiative, attacks would still have to be resolved by the DM.
